La collection Rugcycle, créée par les suédoises Jenny Askenfors et Sofia Ehrengren, propose des grands tapis créés à partir de plusieurs lirettes anciennes assemblées. Un joli hommage à l'artisanat traditionnel.
The rag rug is the traditionnal rug in the nordic countries and you will often find them in fleamarkets and thrift stores. The problem with the rag rugs is that they are normally quite small, or very long, and not really adapted to modern homes and needs.
The Rugcycle collection, created by Swedish architects Jenny Askenfors and Sofia Ehrengren, offers big rugs created by assembling several old rag rugs. A nice homage to traditional craft.

If you don't have the possibility to visit Scandinavian fleamarkets or order a rug from Rugcycle, you can make a big rug yourself with similar rag rugs from IKEA for example, using a contrasting colour for the seam:
